Volatile was formed three years ago through a trans-alpine connection of two young yet versatile producers, NubiS from Slovenia and Feral from Switzerland. The pair shared a passion for 90's big beat, drum'n'bass and the new wave of electro, which gave birth to a perilous monster: the sound so powerful and chaotic that it should be measured with the Richter magnitude scale. The youngsters' flair for destruction was noticed swiftly - The Proxy picked up their very first single and tracklisted it in his mix for Kissy Sell Out's BBC Radio 1 show, while Hostage started spreading their name through his live sets and by praising them on the musical blogosphere.Their first official release - Faces Of War EP - has seen the light of day through an independent digital label Studio Internova shortly after. While the conscientious twosome continued to produce track after track, their take on Royksopp's Tricky Tricky landed nearly at the top of the hypem.com popularity chart on several occasions. Manchester’s finest Paul Farrier aka Shadow Dancer is back with 4 diverse bombs for the dancefloor. "Catmoves" is a great mix of modern Disco and House, it’s repetative arpeggio bassline builds through the track and creates an atmosphere you surely fill up the floor with. "Parallax", the hit of this ep, is an epic disco-tech song, which gives you warm feelings and takes you on a journey to sunny afterhour mornings. On "Murder Room" Paul delivers a groovy dancefloor murder track, an adventure room full of little sounds to brainwash ravers. Last but not least "Lo Fighters" is an unreleased Shadow Dancer song from 1999, classic pre-millenium electro with a robot vocoder voice that motivates, the perfect song to close this ep in new classic electro feel.

After the release of the Wasted EP I've been waiting to see if Tom Deluxx could still wow me with some heavy electro like he used to. While I (sort of) got my wish with the Run Remixes EP as it has an impressive remix line-up of electro specialists including Beelzebass, Aerotronic and aUtOdiDakT. While the general theme of the EP is "Gnarly electro beatz!" there's only one remix that stands out the most and that's the Blatta & Inesha remix. While Blatta & Inesha are usually known for a different sound they decided to take this remix in another direction and that direction would just so happen to be ACID TECHNO. The whole release might be a bit redundant there's probably a banger.

Siriusmo recently released a new track on Monkeytown Records that has a lot of people speaking. It is titled Feromonikon and it absolutely bangs. It starts of with several messy, yet strangely enjoyable synth stabs to Wolfgang Gartner-esque breakdown and eventually drops into an extremely catchy riff that will have you humming for days. Acid House the sound that single handly ignited the club scene the world over. The Acid sound as it is now universally dubbed was the result of Chicago based DJ 'DJ Pierre' getting his hands on a Roland TB-303 in the mid 1980's and indulging in some bedroom knob tweaking. By 1986 he had released his first single titled Acid Tracks and the rest is History.

Fast Forward 24 years and Boys Noize has taken it upon himself to bring Acid into the present day for a whole new generation of listeners. Enlisting the help of some fellow producers he has compiled 13 fresh Acid tracks for his 'Super Acid' compilation.
